Somia R. Bibi

Somia R. Bibi is an independent researcher and sociologist whose ESRC-funded PhD at the University of Warwick explored the lived experiences of shadeism and racialised beauty for British South Asian (BSA) women, focusing on three different groups of BSA women to highlight the nuances and complexities that manifest in lived experiences. Her research and writing have focused on for example, race, racism, beauty politics and the criminal justice system.
