The «CULTuREL» series publishes contemporary research on religion and religions past and present, including critical discussions of theory and method in the study of religion. Sensitive to cultural studies perspectives and aiming to innovate historical and social-scientific approaches alike, it offers a platform to discuss and explain the variety of religious practices and expressions in Swiss, European, and global contexts. The CULTuREL series accepts historiographic as well as empirical studies.
CULTuREL is published on behalf of the «Swiss Society for the Study of Religion» («Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Religionswissenschaft / Société Suisse de sciences des religions», SGR-SSSR).
The current editorial board includes Wissam Halawi, Jens Schlieter (editor-in-charge), Ricarda Stegmann, Christoph Uehlinger and Rafael Walthert.
